About
Well, well, well much to my wife’s surprise I have decided to start a blog. I have never really seen myself as a blogger, unfortunately in my life as a programmer I find myself finding tidbits of code that help me and then also find myself losing that same code. So to help aid me in my pursuit of becoming a better programmer I think a blog is an ideal way to store this information gleaned from many different sources.
Who am I you may ask, my name is Richard. I am a senior developer for a complete web solutions company in Austin, TX. Being in the web world exposes me to all sorts of new technology. I have written code in most modern languages, from Perl to Silverlight, from C# to Java. I have written flash applications and iPhone Apps. I also do freelance work when I get a chance, which isn’t as often as I would like. Oh well thats just part of my binary life.
My binary life includes everything in my life, not just my life as a programmer. It will involve my 2 children, Sara 10 and Bella 6 and my wife Michelle, my life at work, my life out of work. Life isn’t just my 9-5 job it is so much more. I invite you to join me for the ride. If you have comments and or questions feel free to ask. I will get to you as fast as I can. As you can imagine life is busy.
And if you are wondering about my poor punctuation and grammar. Well I am a programmer not an English major as my wife is always quick to point out the flaws in my writing. I normally write when I get a chance so I type as fast as I can. If I have time I go back and fix my obvious mistakes. It all part of my busy life though.
